Born on September 09, 1967 in Klang, Bandar Diraja Selangor. Kiam Hong did his early and secondary education in his hometown. He graduated with a first-class honours degree [Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Accounting and Finance] from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2000.
He completed his General Management Programme from BFM Business School in 2013, The Job of the Chief Executive (JOCE) Programme from Singapore Institute of Management in July 2017, and participated in the Executive Immersion Program (The Innovative Leader) at Silicon Valley Innovation Center in December 2017.
Kiam Hong started working in 1984 and soon began his Accounting, Auditing, and Finance career before being appointed as Assistant Country Manager of a media monitoring company in South East Asia.
Owing to his keen interest in collections of information from the public, he left in 2006 to set up ‘NAMA’ News & Ads Monitoring Agency. For him, being an entrepreneur is a great way to make a living.
After fourteen (14) years of building the company to be the largest independent media monitoring company in Malaysia, he successfully exited NAMA in 2020.
With the exit, he did free advisory work for the local startup community and volunteer work as a meaningful contribution to society.
